What types of people can I expect to connect with at the retreat?
We generally attract a creative crowd that values human interaction and connection. Among them may be artists, designers, marketing managers, influencers, entrepreneurs, freelancers, creators, travelers, and people simply looking for a little inspiration. We will also have those who are interested in exploring their creative passions more, or developing their career and skills.
How many people will be there?
We have a maximum capacity of 14 people in the house, including hosts. However, we anticipate there will be between 6-9 attendees.
How long is the retreat?
Including arrival & departure day, the retreat will be 7 days, 6 nights.
What kind of food will we be eating?
Breakfast will be provided daily. Nutritious, light meals will be prepared such as local eggs, fruit assortment, smoothies, granola, coffee, tea, fresh juice, toast. Dinners, provided 3 nights of the week, are prepped using fresh & local food. Most dinners will be pescetarian. There will always be vegan and vegetarian options available.
I have dietary restrictions and allergies, will there be food options for me?
Yes! We honor all dietary restrictions, please make sure to mention this when paying your deposit and we will be sure to accommodate it.
Is there laundry on-site?
Yes, we have a washer and dryer at the house.
Can we connect with other attendees before the event?
We will create a Facebook group prior to the event to connect everyone. If you don't have Facebook, don't worry! We will find a way to get you connected.
If I choose a shared room, how will I know who I am rooming with?
During your reservation process, we will be sure to ask you your preference on living style, sleeping habits (are you a night owl or early riser?), etc. Shared rooms will only be arranged by the person's specified gender preference. Roommates can also be decided by the attendees sharing rooms in the Facebook group.
Who are the guest speakers?
Exact details on speakers will be released closer to the event.
Will I have free time during the retreat?
Of course! While we encourage everyone to connect and mingle, you are by no means required to attend any activities or gatherings if you're not up for it. The only "required" meetings would be for the introductions, and the goodbyes.
I've never done yoga before, will that be an issue?
Absolutely not! Our yoga instructor and co-founder Jen has experience with all skill levels, and will be happy to modify any positions or classes to fit your skill level.
I don't know how to surf, can someone help me learn?
We will be there to encourage and support each other in the water, however, we are not offering surf lessons. We can refer you to great local surf schools if you're interested in taking a lesson during the retreat. The lessons can take place at the same we are at the beach. Attendees will have a range of skill levels, from first-time surfers, to expert level.
Are there any other activities offered besides surfing and yoga?
We are planning some additional outings including hikes, salsa dancing, and *fingers crossed* a sea turtle release. Again, none of the activities are required and you can come & go as you please to explore the beautiful town of Sayulita.
Is airport transportation included?
Airport transportation is included only on the designated arrival/departure days. If you choose to arrive early or extend your stay, you are responsible for getting to/from the airport to Sayulita. Once in Sayulita, we can pick you up and bring you to the house, or drop you off at your next in-town destination.
Payments & Reservations
How do I reserve my spot?
Reach out to us via the "Reserve" page, and we can get you started on a reservation.
Do I have to pay in full?
While we gladly accept payments in full, they are not required. A deposit of 50% is required to hold your spot, with the remaining balance due on Sept 1.
I don't have the money for the 50% deposit at this time, but I'd love to join the retreat. Is there any way I can attend?
We offer flexible payment plans for select attendees who express the need for it. Please reach out to us and let us know your situation, and we will try to work with you on it.
How do I pay?
Once we get you signed up, we will submit an invoice or payment request. We accept payments via Venmo, Paypal, and Chase Quickpay only.
